A Winter Wonderland
Yesterday's snow defiantly caused spring fever to set in here at camp. This morning the Woodland Campus was covered in a beautiful blanket of snow. Here are some of our favorite scenes.

CAMP COURAGE'S COLLEGE PREVIEW & TECHNOLOGY CAMP
A Better Life for Minnesotans with Disabilities
A Better Deal for Minnesota Taxpayers
College Preview Camp is designed to help students with a wide variety of disabilities prepare to attend college. The camp blends traditional camp activities with career exploration and skill-building. Campers can choose to work on improving computer skills, learn more about assistive technology, and visit a college campus. Campers also talk with former campers who are now in careers, as well as college instructors.
In examining the outcomes from college preview camp, we saw a significant improvement in participants’ beliefs about knowing how to access the resources they will need to be successful at college. Many students knew what kinds of resources were needed to be successful at camp but not how to access these resources. College preview camp helped students learn how to access important resources for college success.
Other promising trends were also observed as part of the College Preview Camp experience. These observations included: improved confidence in their ability to access resources, increased knowledge of courses for college preparation, and an expectation of college success. Accessing resources for students with disabilities and having the confidence they will have a successful college experience are key to positive adjustment and success in college life.
